Clear Verdict

How We Rate

At clear-verdict.com, we prioritize transparency, in-depth research, and careful, criteria-based reviews. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible basis for decision-making by analyzing and comparing products and services based on clearly defined criteria.

Our reviews are editorial analysis, not user ratings

The reviews on clear-verdict.com are written by our own editorial team. They are our own analysis, based on the research described below.

We do not collect user reviews. There is no review form on this site, no rating given by visitors and no ranking produced by votes. The scores and verdicts you see here are ours.

When we quote customer testimonials, they are statements already published elsewhere - on merchant or manufacturer sites, for example. We take them as one source among several: we have neither collected nor verified them, and we do not present them as reviews checked by us.

Our Review Method

Our research and evaluation process follows a structured approach:

Thorough Research & Analysis

Before making a recommendation, we conduct extensive research. We analyze manufacturer information, scientific studies, technical data, customer reviews, and independent test reports.

Comparison with Alternatives

A product is only good if it proves itself against others. That's why we place our evaluations in the context of similar offerings to enable a well-founded assessment.

Published Customer Opinions & Expert Feedback

To gain a comprehensive picture, we consult customer opinions already published elsewhere, expert opinions and market trends, and factor them into our evaluation. We do not collect those opinions ourselves and we do not verify them.

Updates & Market Changes

The market is constantly evolving - new products emerge, formulations are revised, and prices fluctuate. Therefore, we regularly update our reviews to keep our assessment current.

Our Evaluation Criteria

Depending on the product category, we evaluate based on the following criteria:

Effectiveness - How well supported are the seller's claims?

Ingredients - Are the ingredients high-quality, safe, and well combined?

Price-Performance Ratio - Is the price justified for the offered performance?

Vendor Transparency - Does the manufacturer disclose what is in the product? Are the company details, terms, shipping and returns policies, and a way to get in touch all easy to find?

User-Friendliness - How simple is it to use, based on the seller's own description?

Support & Warranty - What ways are there to get in touch, and how fair are the warranty and returns terms?

How the criteria become a score

We rate each criterion on a scale up to 100, where 100 is best. We go on what can be established publicly about a product - among other things the seller's own information, independent sources, the price and the terms of sale. Which criteria apply depends on the product, so scores in different product categories are only comparable up to a point.

The overall score follows from these individual ratings, but our final judgement also shapes it, so it can differ from them slightly. For ease of reading we express it on a ten-point scale, where 10 is best.

Both are editorial assessments, not measurements. If we have had a product in our hands, the page says so.

Our website is funded through so-called affiliate links. This means that we receive a commission if you purchase a product through our links - at no additional cost to you. This helps us finance the operation of our website but may influence product rankings.
